Yes, by "she", I mean me. This is the title of my Pinterest Crafty Pinboard. I may think I'm crafty, so it contains all the crafty stuff I want to get into.
At 12 years old, my mom taught me how to cross stitch and ever since then I've loved creating beautiful pieces of art from little threaded x's.
Sometimes it's just the idea that all those stitches create a bigger picture, it's amazing. Right now I'm working on a stocking for my little man. I started it right after he was born, insanely thinking I could get it done in less than a month for Christmas.....WRONG! So here we are 4 years later and I'm almost done! At least I didn't toss it right?
After my recent Pinterest addiction, Christmas was quite interesting and very homemade this year....more on that later. But I wanted to share something...it's not much but it's very cute and I made it and it's not cross stitch.
My mom bought Ethan a make-it-yourself blanket for Christmas, even though she knew I'd have to make it! This monkey felt is just absolutely adorable!! But I laid out the felt blankets, right sides out. I pinned it all down so it wouldn't move, cut squares out of the corners and cut all the fringy pieces. Then I tied them all together and took out all the pins. Ethan loves this! And now he has his very own blanket.
Then I realized, do you know how easy it would be to make these....with any felt you could find?!? Just wait until that felt goes on sale and they would be perfect for Christmas gifts.

I love your cross stitch pictures! I love to cross stitch as well although since my eyes got worse I haven't been able to do a lot of it. I have so many unstarted ones that I had every intention of finishing some day.
I love the make it yourself blanket. It's awesome!
