This year I decided just to do it. I entered catechism classes, or RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. My husband is Catholic, but we married in my hometown Methodist church. I never thought this would be an issue for me until after we had Ethan. I want to have Ethan baptized, just like I was and just like my husband was when we were little. However, I also want to go to church together. One other thing about my husband is that he's very stubborn. Not willing to change his denomination, I decided to look into becoming Catholic. Now through the first phase of the class, the Inquiry, we've discussed this book in detail. Anything I wanted to know was answered. This book was very informative and really did cover everything in a way that anyone would understand, even those like me, who knew nothing about the Catholic religion. DeSiano sets this up as a Q&A session of sorts. The most common questions on each topic are asked and answered in each chapter. The only thing I didn't like was that it was written in 1986 and a lot of the views are different now. But overall I am learning so much from the teacher who is teaching us from this book.
