Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
I have finally finished this series!! I love love love it!! I did read the last three extremely fast. It usually takes me awhile to read these chunksters =).
Harry will be 17 in a matter of days, but will he be safe as soon as he "comes of age"? JK Rowling answers this question and much much more in the last installment of the Harry Potter series. Just days before his birthday, Harry realizes he's a wanted man. Now he has to hide and his friends, Ron and Hermione, want to be with him. There are many adventures, and many moral situations, but it always comes down to love and friendship. Harry is always trying to do what's right, not only by him, but by his friends as well.....he never wants to hurt anyone. So he's constantly going back to what he's been taught in the past, in order to get through what's ahead.
One thing I'm always amazed at is how the author can write, in this case, 7 books, and still manage to tie every last thing together at the end. I can't think of one question that was left unanswered! That's talent, considering I read somewhere that JK Rowling was the first writer to become a billionaire in 2001!! The Deathly Hallows brought together all the characters, all the loose ends, all the questions, and I'm sure all the HP fans.
I'll have to be honest, I thought I was done after the Order of the Phoenix. In that book, Harry seemed to be a different person, and then finding out that his father might not have been such a good person? I thought the series was taking a turn for the worse. I just wasn't sure I wanted to continue reading it, but I'm very glad I did. I would love to hear how everyone else loved this series!! Did you always love it or was there a part where you were disappointed?

6 wonderful readers think.....:
I loved the series but was disappointed by the Blood Prince. I thought that was the worst book. That said I still eagerly await the movies yet to come even the Blood Prince.
I pretty much loved the entire series. And I was amazed that Rowling did such an incredible job with Deathly Hallows. I hated to see the series end, but I really thought she did it well.
I really enjoyed reading this series. I admit though that I thought it only got better with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I liked that it took a darker turn.
LOVED this series. There were parts that made me not so happy (how could she kill off Fred?!) but for the most part, it was wonderful. While not necessarily the best written books, the fact that they've made so many people READ... it's just fabulous, you know?? :)
Thanks for all your comments! I love hearing of other opinions!!
I was sad when it all ended. But I'm going to re-read this series for sure again!!!
